• Composite ACT score of 19 or have a high school GPA of 3.0.

• Composite ACT score of 21 or have a high school GPA of 3.5.

• Signed statement from High School Principal confirming eligibility*

• Written recommendation from high school counselor*

* The Connors State College Concurrent Enrollment Verification, Recommendation, and Permission Form may be used to certify:

�� The student is eligible to satisfy requirements for graduation from high school (including curricular requirements for

college admission) no later than the spring the senior year.

�� The combined number of high school, career tech and college courses per semester does not exceed a full time college

workload of 19 semester credit hours. For the purposes of calculating workload, one‐half high school unit is the

equivalent to three semester credit hours of college work.

�� The student meets the admissions and enrollment standards established by the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher

Education.

�� The student has permission from parent or legal guardian to enroll concurrently at Connors State College.

Concurrent students who are receiving instruction at home or from an unaccredited high school must be 17 years of age and

meet the ACT requirements for high school seniors above or be 16 years of age and meet the ACT requirements for high

school juniors above.

Additionally, high school students who want to enroll in college‐level courses must earn a score of 19 or higher on the ACT subject test for the area(s) in which they want to enroll. Subject tests include English, reading, mathematics and science reasoning. An ACT subject score of 19 in reading is required for enrollment at CSC in any subject area other than mathematics. Institutional secondary testing may not be used for placement. Also, concurrent students may not enroll in remedial (zero‐level) coursework offered by colleges and universities and designed to remove high school deficiencies.

Connors State College has tuition waivers available to qualified high school juniors and seniors.

• High School Seniors ‐ In accordance to State Regents Policy, students who have completed their junior year but who have not graduated from high school are eligible for a tuition waiver of no more than six (6) credit hours per semester or summer term. Students are eligible for this waiver the summer term prior to their senior year and the fall and spring terms of their senior year. The tuition waivers do not cover fees, textbooks or other supplies that may be required for a particular course.

• High School Juniors – Connors State College will waive up to six (6) hours of tuition per semester for qualified students as funds allow. Students are eligible for this waiver the fall and spring semesters of their junior year.

One of the most common questions asked by students and parents is will this class transfer? The short answer is yes as long as the student passed a college (1000 or 2000) level course with a C or better. The vast majority of Concurrent students take general education classes such as English Composition I and II, US History, College Algebra and Humanities. These classes tend to be very portable but the student should always consult with an Academic Advisor to ensure they enroll in classes that match their intended major at their desired university. Connors State College is also fully accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and we have transferred students to four‐year colleges and universities around the nation with a very high degree of success.
